It’s so easy to get utterly swamped by the demands of the practical, survivalist based world. One of the first things to be sacrificed is our connection with the sacred. Yet without any connection to the sacred, to the divine essence that imbues us at our soul (and heart) level, we are at the mercy of a kind of rationalism that may easily develop into fundamentalism and isolation.
