It is truly no surprise that awakening seems so out of reach for so many, for there is a mountain of baggage to let go of. You must remember there is no spiritual context for spiritual inquiry and dismantling of the fictitious self in the west. Most of us come from survivalist ancestry, and that doesn’t just disappear because we are suddenly seeking liberation.
