Even in this cruel And sometimes despicable world There is always some goodness Often hidden in the smallest of gestures Or the quietest of places Find that beauty and serve it. --------------------------------- Meet everything and everyone With the grace and kindness You want from the world It’s that simple. -------------------------------- I seem to be held By some invisible hand Of unconditional love That has no concern With what I do or don't do If you would soften And become very quiet inside You would know this also. -------------------------------- There is an imagined hole in you That you keep trying to fill Stop doing that And face what happens. ------------------------------- Your spirit is radiant beauty itself Why do you diminish it By standing in the way Of its light. ---------------------------- In an age of cognitive dissonance Where belief and opinion are fought over Stay rooted in the light of love's essence Not as a belief But as a lived experience of reality Only love is real. --------------------------- When the rain comes Do you forget the sky And just soak in the wetness Don’t worry The divine doesn’t care About your forgetting. ---------------------------- The wheel of form turns forever We are being danced By a divine hand Graced a personal life That is also impersonal Remember the great wheel That rolls through time You and I, everything here, Everything that has been and will be, Is on that wheel This awareness is humility. -------------------------------- These triggers That have Guided your hand Over many years Are doorways To a deeper union With yourself With others And with the divine. ------------------------------- The only consistent and honest spirituality I have discovered Is to wake up each day And meet life's nuances and energies Events and vicissitudes And one's own inner world Fresh and new In a presence that is alive Not overlayed with belief Or carried from yesterday. ----------------------------
