If I can add just one drop of beauty and love to this world, and if I can remember and live from the integrity of my deepest truth, that will be enough. A few poems for you. Everything that hurts The wounds and the grievances The shame and the sorrows Are all standing at the door Waiting to be welcomed home To an open heart The deeper love goes The more it lets in So that, eventually, if the heart Has no more conditions holding it back Everything falls in Because Everything wants to come home And the only real way home Is through the openness of the heart. ---------------------------------- There is a beauty that radiates Even in the brokenness and suffering Through the darkness When we find a way to carry pain With a kind of dignity and nobility A light shines from us That others see and hold dear This is a blessing to the human condition. ------------------------------- It’s hard to find the true one For they may be sitting quietly And you are bombarded by those Who shout their gifts And their shiny tantalizing offers While the true one cannot enter that game And just sits waiting for an invitation Or not. --------------------------------- There is a longing the soul has That can only be satisfied by God. --------------------------------- Every moment is holy But we are blinkered And see through mundane eyes The divine is in all creation Yet we see it in nothing Pull back the curtains And there it is As it always was But you were ignoring it. ------------------------------ The heart opens All of existence pours in We become a conduit For the divine The defended self Dies into this And begins to serve it We are no longer The person we imagined we were We have become An emissary of love. ------------------------------ Remember, my fellow traveler, Remember your true self We come from the stars We are innocent and free Beautiful and wild And that’s what is calling us In these collapsing times. ------------------------------- Someone asked if I prayed I said it’s all prayer now For it is all God. ------------------------------ Surrounded by drama Seek refuge In silence And presence When the pull of The storm is strong Remember to stay Where you are Become unshakeable The world needs this. ------------------------------ The voice of the divine is everywhere To one who listens from silence.
