The question is, who are we and what do we stand for. Not on the surface level but deep inside us. And not just individually but also as a collective, as a species. We seem lost to something, far from our divine nature. Many are now asking these questions. They are not simply spiritual, but also very human.
Now we are connected to each other (not all of course) in ways unimaginable 30 years ago, it has changed us. We are in the infancy of interconnectivity. We are going to play out opinions, beliefs, shadow and karma. It’s inevitable. And it’s not all bad or negative. In fact it holds the potential for radical transformation. But left in the realm of the unconscious tendencies we have, no change is likely other than an endless disintegration into division. Is that our human destiny?
Or are we more, much more than that? And can we realize that potential for harmonious living?
I favor the view that we can. But it requires effort and the willingness to meet ourselves and others in a much deeper way, and that is the great art.
The trail blazers, the seekers, the mystics, the inner explorers, the inquirers, the poets, you and I, must continue to be willing to unravel this world of veils and to live from the truth of what we discover, even if that is just the great unknown. Truth doesn’t have a name.
Thank you for indulging my exploration. Now some poems.
All wounds heal In the light Of unconditional love. --------------------------- Open your heart Until it is the universe Open your mind Beyond it’s perception, Beliefs and ideas Until it is the eternal sky Go beyond What mind says or doesn’t say There is a vast intelligence within you Know it and everything changes. -------------------------- Your light never goes out It just becomes occluded By the clouds of conditioning And the weight of wounding Yet the light deep within Never goes out You don’t need to find it You need to reveal it. ------------------------- Each day Is an opportunity To be awake To the mystery Every experience An invitation To be rooted in presence Don’t be cruel to yourself For forgetting. You have been asleep a long time The remembering Is all that matters. ------------------------- It is not what you find At the end of the journey It’s what you unearth On the journey itself That changes everything That’s why you must Give yourself totally To the undertaking. ------------------------ Trust is a fine and delicate thread That weaves us together You may not even notice it Until it is broken And then it is all you see. ------------------------ The truth is I fell into the hole In the center of my being And entered a new world Now I walk with one foot In this temporal world And one foot in the eternal Grateful for the time Accepting of my dissolution. ------------------------ The darkness we fear Has messages we need to hear Yet we run off into the distance Fearful of the very thing That needs to be faced For our return to wholeness. ------------------------- Quietness, humility and tenderness Are aspects of grace Grace is easily forgotten in this harsh reality But without it we are doomed. ------------------------ UN-MOOR YOUR BOAT. You have moored your boat On the safe part of the river And, for a time, it has been fine Now there is a longing to know What lies further down stream A thirst for adventure And a deep desire for the ocean But you have been moored for a long time And there is fear of the unknown What if there are rapids Or even a huge waterfall What if you should capsize and drown What huge discomfort this brings up Maybe it is better to stay moored up in the safety Even though it no longer brings any juice to life And the longing, the thirst, the desire, remains And seems to grow every day Oh what a conundrum, a puzzle, a mystery… Friend, cast off the ropes and throw them upon the shore You won’t be needing them again Un-moor your boat like the warrior you are Deep in your heart Set sail, face the river, surrender and surf Meet what comes as it comes Be done with your fearful imagination Live in this day, here, now You have more capacity than you know But you cannot discover it Until you un-moor and set sail.
Unconscious tendencies...... can be patterns of painful loops.
Also liked thinking of us all as a species - it's a big picture view..
Thanks for your sharing Kavi x
