THE WARRIOR SLEEPS WITHIN
We must have the resilience
To walk through this great divide
When the forces of one against the other
Threaten our very lives and safety
We must walk as wholeness and with clear seeing
With hearts open and minds unyielding to the pull of the tide
Though I walk through this
Valley of darkness and shadows
I will not yield my openness
Neither will I fall back into fear
Although the threat seems real
Only love’s tender embrace of all life
Has the power to transform
Coal to diamonds
In extraordinary times
A secret power arises within us
The warrior sleeps quietly within
But, upon the call of the distant horn,
Awakens and prepares
In silent prayer
It is you, and it is I,
Who are the guardians of love
Who are the gatekeepers of the tender heart.

So beautiful and true. in a very subtle way it feels almost like a privilege to activate this sleeping force within myself. It is a process of going through all stages of fear, anger acceptance and then deeper lies surrender and love. It has only just woken up and it It takes work to keep it up.
