THE WALL THAT PROTECTS THE HEART - MUST FALL
My friend, your heart is encased in stone
Protected by a wall erected in childhood
Solidified in youth
Unassailable in adulthood
You cannot truly feel life’s blessing
Until the stone wall is no more
Therein lies the problem
For once built and cemented in
It seems almost impossible to take down
Ah! You must face the unknown
Dispel the voice of fear and doom
Stop listening to the mind
And make a decision from the depths
That, no matter what arises,
You will meet it, openly and willingly,
With tears in your eyes
But relief in your soul
It took years to erect such a wall
Be patient with its deconstruction.
