THE TAPESTRY

And just for one moment
Did he look
Far beyond the veil
Past the smallness
And all petty concerns
Beyond the individual life
Or the times he lived in
Beyond the planet
And the solar system
Outside the galaxy itself

Into the vastness
Of the incomprehensible 

And he saw a great tapestry
Weaving itself for eternity
And inside that tapestry
Was an intelligence
That animated all things

And he was that.
