THE MAJESTIC SILENCE OF BEING
A thousand emotions may flow through the valley
A deluge, a tsunami, a great flood
A fire, a volcano, a thunderbolt
All were allowed to flow unimpeded
But still you were there
Walking through that valley, step upon step,
Resolute, clear seeing, calm and unwavering
There is a kind of warrior-ship of presence
That has nothing to do with fighting
And more to do with some majestic silence of being
Each of us has the capacity to discover it
And each can choose to walk rooted in that presence
For the rest of our days.
