THE HOLE AT THE CENTER

There is a hole
At the center 
Of each human being

Most try and fill it
With thought stuff
Attachment
And desire
Or run from it in terror

The task of the mystic
Is to empty that hole
Of whatever has filled it up
And live from that emptiness.
