WHY AWAKENING CAN FEEL LIKE FALLING APART
Transformation is rarely a gentle unfolding. It often feels more like being broken open, a process that can feel raw, tender, and even agonizing. Yet, within this pain lies the seed of profound healing and awakening.
Pain arises when the old falls away—the identities, beliefs, and attachments we’ve clung to for security. Transformation demands we release these familiar structures, leaving us vulnerable and exposed. This is the moment many fear, mistaking the pain of letting go as a sign that something is wrong. In truth, it’s the very evidence that change is occurring.
Healing pain is not like the pain of harm. It’s not the wound that festers but the ache of a wound being cleansed. Transformation invites us to meet this discomfort with openness. Instead of resisting, we are asked to surrender, allowing the pain to move through us.
In surrendering to the process, we discover something unexpected: the pain carries wisdom. It reveals the places we have hidden, the fears we’ve avoided, and the emotions we’ve suppressed. As we turn toward these with awareness and compassion, healing naturally follows.
Transformation, then, is an alchemy. Pain becomes the crucible in which the false self is burned away, leaving only the essence of who we are—free, whole, and at peace. It is not a punishment but a grace, an invitation to step into a deeper, truer version of ourselves.
When the process feels overwhelming, remember this: the pain is temporary, but the healing it brings is eternal. Transformation is the gift that comes disguised as struggle, asking only that we trust its unfolding.

We are scared of silence For we feel the tremor Of our own heartbeat We hear the voices within That cry or scream Neglected for years Oh yes, most of us Are terrified of silence And yet that very silence Is where healing is Where wisdom is And where love is. ---------------------------- When the veils of perception Lift from your eyes You see that everyone is naked And everything is just made up. --------------------------- Friend, break the chain Of old patterns And well worn ruts Playing themselves out In your daily life Meet it all with fresh eyes And embrace the unknown. ---------------------------- Grace happens In surrender Of the resistant one. --------------------------- Let the way you feel Fall into the beingness you are. --------------------------- There is a coming home that happens A relief, a return And even though life from then on May still be rocky and turbulent There is never a leaving again. ------------------------- If sorrow comes to your door Or if happiness arrives unexpectedly Just nod politely Knowing that all things Are subject to change If you feel failure, greet it with grace not misery You don't need to make friends with every visitor Let them all come and go. ------------------------- Most live from mind We are in the Mind-Age At some point we will live in Heart-Age Be ahead of your time Live that way now And stop conforming Be radically heart centered And live from love. ------------------------- The beloved is here Ever present But you are not For you are distracted And lost in thinking Bewitched by false identity And you miss the grace That imbues you.
