THE DIVINE WATER

There is water everywhere but we are parched, searching for water,
Beloved why do you not drink from the water that is already here?

The wave that carries you
To the ocean
Is already that ocean
In a different disguise

Don’t be deceived
By appearances
Look to the essence.

I gave up fighting with life
Many years ago
When I discovered
The less resistance I had
The easier life was
And the more grace I experienced
Since then it’s just this flowing downstream
Sometimes choppy, sometimes gentle
But always this oceanic water of union.

We live in karmic times
Clean up your past
Live in presence
Practice forgiveness
Step off the wheel
And fall into love’s openness.

While you were busy
Looking for God
God was with you
Enjoying the looking

While you were busy
Looking for Enlightenment 
Enlightenment was with you
Enjoying the looking

While you were busy
Looking for love
Love was with you
Enjoying the looking.

The wise one
Holds uncertainty
And inevitability
As intimate companions
Yet identifies with neither
Choosing instead openness
And loving kindness.

Everything denied 
Eventually makes it way
To the light 

The darkness finds a way
To express itself
And the shadow
Wants to come home.

Let your heart sing
Of a longing
Beyond mind’s knowing.

All this talk of the divine
Of God and union
Is a poetic way of saying
We are quantumly entangled
With everything.

Cleanse the portals of your perception
Clean up your energy centers
Discover the silence at your core
The divine flow
Can then move freely through you
Like a torus.

The freedom is in the falling
Into the unknown

The suffering is in the holding on
To the imagined known.
