Cease all this arguing with the world
Or with yourself
If necessary surrender all those precious beliefs
And burn in the fire of humility
Allow yourself to be wrong
And feel how your ego self writhes like a snake
Throw doubt into the machine of your fixedness
And fall into the eternal not knowing
In the heat of the battle
I poured water on the fire of my righteousness
The hissing, the steam, the indignant cry
That tried to splutter from my fabricated self
Was almost comical
It was as though a balloon,
Pumped up with its own glory
Had been popped
All that remained was laughter, joy and softness
Surrender your own self to the great void
It will be a blessed relief.

I'm noticing how destructive and ferocious righteousness can be at times.
Thinking of throwing water into the heat of this energy may help 💦💙
Thanks Kavi, this hit 🎯
