STAND AS NAKED OPENNESS
The mirror we call the world
Is resonating at a critical level
Inviting, demanding, beseeching us
To inquire into the truth of things
It has always been this way
From Jesus to Buddha
Jesus stood naked as openness
In the face of judgement and ridicule
Buddha sat silently as the maras of illusion
Tried to pull him into the world of fear
There is nothing new in what is happening
It is not its newness but its intensity
That we are feeling
Can we, you and I,
Stand naked as openness
In the face of judgement and ridicule
Can we meet the illusory world
In silent stillness
Rooted in our inner authority
Unwavering like a warrior
Until all lies and deception dissolves
Each of us must decide for ourselves
In these most profound of times.
