OFF-GRID FREEDOM

We were off-grid, no electricity, no cell phone signal, no running water, in a yurt in a forest in Colorado. It sounds idyllic, but it was more like a shamanic vision quest. It’s hard to say why exactly, but when Amoda and I slip back into our wildness (reminiscent of the days we met and ran our ecstatic trance dance transformation camps) we naturally start to dive into the invisible world and explore.

The love we have for each other, and now for our little friend Peyote, allows us to go exploring our inner worlds, both separately and as a couple. That means always asking what are we doing? who are we now? what has happened since we arrived in the US?

And oh! how easy is it to get sucked into the world through social media. The tangible relief of turning away from the drama, some of which of course is worthy of attention, but most of which is just the endless human addiction to drama, was glorious and ‘reset’ us both.

The world is tenacious my friend, and we are all still very new to this technological revolution. It is powerful and impacts the nervous system and psychological health dramatically if not kept under control. Remember to re-wild yourself now and then.

Fear isolates
Love unifies
Fear corrupts
Love heals
Fear blocks wisdom
Love is wisdom
Fear imbalances the mind
Love allows clear seeing

Once discovered as the deepest truth
Love becomes incorruptible.

And judgment 

There is no garden outside

To realize this is the end of inner division.

To truly know it
We must become it
This is not a mind thing.

Celebrate your aloneness
Accept it and love it
If you can know this truth
That you are alone
It will lay the ground
For true relating
And you will no longer
Enter into co-dependent games
To try and fill an emptiness
That doesn’t actually exist.

That all is one thing
Appearing to be separate
All form is temporary
Including belief
And life is sacred.
