INTO THE UNKNOWN WE MUST GO

We cannot drag the mystery, the unknown, into the known. To realize the mystery we must enter it, somehow leaving the known behind. Although this is a total puzzlement to the mind that lives on knowledge, it speaks to the deepest parts of us. We are so conditioned to control, so trained to the desire for certainty, we throw our hands in the air at this conundrum. We do the same with the idea of surrender.

But these mysteries are where the juice is, where freedom is, where liberation is.

I hope that doesn’t make sense to you!

Not by detaching from it
Or saying it is an illusion
But by loving it with an unconditionality 
That allows it to come home to silence.

Is the awakening
Spiritual seekers long for.

In this softness
Is a great and mysterious power
Unknown to the divided mind.

Comes flooding out
Although it may feel
Almost impossible to bear
Don’t try and close it up again
But learn to live
From that deep place
It won’t always be so raw
That rawness is just the freshness
Of the wound as it hits the air.

Let us leave all this talk for a while
And rest in the silence of being
We can merge with the totality
And remember who we really are.

Even if it breaks your heart
Or confounds you 
The world needs lovers 
Not fighters or haters
Or those fueled by judgement.

Presence is a portal
Through which we taste eternity 
We spend our lives bound to time
But in the silent stillness of the now
All movement comes to an end
What bliss
Just this.

The Beloved answers our call
But we reject and resist
No! we say
Don’t turn up like that.

tear off this falseness
and stand tall in humble splendor
in the truth of your radiance
be like an open window
let anyone look in
all this hiding your secret self
makes you miserable

everyone here is the same
all longing to dance naked
and be free.

From deep in the soul
Is the beauty we seek

Let your soul’s voice sing
Clear off the debris that covers your light
Plummet the depths of being
