Inner harmony is inner peace, which has grace, equanimity, authority and love in it. It is not born of just the mind, but of the harmony of body, emotion, mind and spirit in union. It is entirely natural.
When the channels of energy within us are flowing naturally, there are no blockages or past grievances held onto. Mind has fallen into its rightful place as servant of life, not master of it. The subtle energy body is healed of its dysfunction and life force follows its harmonic course. This is our natural state.
If it sounds mystical and unusual it’s because it is in our world. We are, in our essence, the movement of the divine into the world of form. But the way of the world seems to be that we forget and fall into a kind of mass hypnosis and charge around the world as these little islands cut off from that divine essence. Religion doesn’t satisfy this loss although it pretends to.
Sometimes in the work we do with people searching for ‘enlightenment’ or ‘awakening,’ I see that what most are really looking for is this inner harmony, this return to a natural way of being, a harmonious way of living.
That’s why I talk about including the body in the search, because excluding it makes us lopsided and detached, and there can be no true harmony in that, and thus no true authority.
That’s enough, here are some poems. Thanks for reading.
Buddha’s time came Under the tree Whereby a soft But resolute Decision Came upon him To meet all demons All falsehoods, desires And ghosts of mind In the presence Of equanimity… Each of us has our time When we are called To that tree It is now. ----------------------------- If the unmet past is still locked up In your energy body Its hand of influence Will be in all actions And relationships Turn around and meet it It is not a fearsome foe But a vulnerable child Trying to find some love. ------------------------------ Sit in quiet presence Inside your suffering Neither trying to fix Nor pulling away Meet it all In the awareness That has light in it. --------------------------- Looking out across what seems to be An abyss between us Awareness realizes such an abyss Is merely an illusion of perception And really we are one Appearing as many. -------------------------- It’s not about feeling better about yourself It’s about seeing what is underneath All that transactional ‘good enough, bad enough’ narrative And resting deeply beyond inner division We are whole and perfect as we are And no amount of thought changes that. --------------------------- If we could sit under the desert stars Warmed by stories of our ancestors Heated by the crackling fire Laughing and crying And just sitting silently In the majestic beauty It would heal us all. --------------------------- All things hang on an eternal web Held by an invisible thread With no end and no beginning I saw this once And it brought me to a great stop ---------------------------- We are not really walking each other home We are supporting each other To recognize we are already home But mind wants to see that home As somewhere up ahead. --------------------------- If you pay attention To your subtle body You will discover What is blocked And not flowing According to nature Much of the liberation Being sought Will be found Attending to Those blocks. ----------------------------- The heart longs to sing its song But finds the pathway of the throat blocked Years of pushing down the voice Have taken their toll Friend, break free of those chains It may start as a weak croak but will soon become The mighty roar of love's freedom. ----------------------------
ps. We are very busy here at the Amoda Maa Foundation and have already planned live retreats for this year. East Coast USA. West Coast USA. Next year Europe. We are looking forward to being in the live interactions, it’s where the transformation and love really is.
Love Kavi
