IN THE GREAT CHANGE, HOLD STEADY

My heart, soul, mind and spirit tell me we are in the midst of great change. What that transformation will be no one knows. What will fall apart, what will emerge, how scary, how dividing, how unifying, one can only speculate, and people do like to speculate. The increase in shadows, in so called darkness, and also in light and innovation, in vision and in empowerment, is extraordinary.

My own sense is this year will be unstable. If you live in America you know it’s the election coming, and this one will be hot. It may be scalding. It may burn up many things previously taken for granted. It may not be so different for everywhere else. We are all entwined.

And then I come back to this resolute presence. To be the calm in the storm. To hold the line. To be simply here. To live in the not really knowing. To be love’s vastness.

In many ways the work and message Amoda and I share is all about this…In the great change, hold steady.

This is the time

From other’s authority

In some new emergence.

I will tell you
Clear up your shadow
Face your darkness
Open your heart
Stop lying about your smallness
And meet others without your armor 

Everything else will be given to you.

Falsely secure,
Our vulnerability
Is our most beautiful quality
Yet the one most hidden
And denied.

You are the silence
Prior to the word
And the word
Is a fragrance
Of that silence.

Come, let us sit in the silence
Everything will be here
And if you should whisper your joy
Or cry some of your pain
It will be as music
That arises and dissolves
Back into the void.

The vital spark of life
Is within you
In each cell
In the essence
Of your being
Each moment is renewal
Each thought fresh
You burst into life
Over and over
If that spark wasn’t happening
You wouldn’t be here.

Fall in love with openness 
It is the start of a divine dance
That will carry you home.

Divine intelligence 
Offered you to the world
The seed of you grew
Into this that you are
You may be unhappy with yourself
But divine intelligence is delighted
See from beyond yourself
You are beautiful.

Take the light
Into the market
If it is natural and ordinary
It will touch others by itself
No need for you to be involved.
