What is this poetry but an outpouring of love’s fragrance from one heart to another.
There is no other purpose. I see other writers or poets who are keen to promote their work, wanting to get on and (maybe) get ahead.
And I just don’t have that in me. I’m not trying to become anything. If anything I’m unbecoming more and more.
I give my attention and devotion to the service with Amoda and the Teaching work. But outside that I don’t have any desire. Have I become lazy? I don’t think so. It’s more that I have become unshackled, untethered from my someone-ness and now I just do the poetry for its own sake.
Talking of which, here are some more for you. x
Unpack all that is held in your heart in grievance It served you once But those days are over And now it just sits On your life force Your joy and your freedom Like a heavy weight I know you yearn to fly But your flying will happen naturally When you let go of the weight. ------------------------------------- I have returned to love's vastness Knowing it as the garden From which this flower grew. ------------------------------------ Some days we float Some days we sink Rare days we soar into the heavens Untethered by form’s gravitational pull Most days we sit right here Quietly breathing the world In and out. There is a vast opening In the center of your chest Called the sky. ---------------------------------- What did you learn from your time on Earth? I learned that everything arises Out of the formless And returns to the formless And while it is in form It is connected to the formless By an invisible thread We might call love. ------------------------------- Softening is the way of truth For in softening we must meet everything And in meeting it we learn to allow it And we stop trying to control everything. ------------------------------- May your heart stay open in the storm May you meet life with the courage of a warrior And the grace of an angel May you be still in the movement And unconditional in the midst of the conditioned May the world end its division in you And may you know yourself as the love you are. --------------------------- Ultimately it’s a simple choice Made over and over again A choice between the openness of love Or the closedness of fear. --------------------------- The one who remembers Their true home Is free. -------------------------- Why not let go and see your life as a glorious masterpiece of darkness and light, of joy and sorrow, a dance of form in emptiness. this is freedom. ------------------------- Don't wait for the cloudless sky Dance wildly in the rain If freedom is what your heart really wants It doesn't matter what the weather is like.

Utterly beautiful. Thank you so much.
I look forward to the book. xx
Thank you, Kavi. I particularly loved ‘what did you learn from your time on Earth’. I like the image of an invisible connecting thread. Golden!
