FABRIC OF TRUST
And I reached a point of making a decision
No one else could make for me
To remain in grievance and resentment
About things that happened
Many years ago
Or to reclaim my power
And heal that old wound by releasing myself
As I chose to let it all go
A strange thing did happen
As though a cloth of trust
Did weave itself back together
And I began to remember
My innate goodness
And the innate goodness of life
We are born to this trust, this power,
But we lose it as the fabric tears
At some point on the journey
We must reclaim it by letting go
Of all that undermined it.
