EMBRACE YOUR SEPARATENESS
Our purpose is natural wholeness. A harmony of all that seems separate: body, emotion, mind and spirit. But we got lost somewhere on the way. Body became a thing, emotions became stuck and heavy, mind developed its own runaway momentum and spirit disappeared as though lost.
This so called spiritual journey is in many ways simply a reintegration of all this.
Yet of course such a reintegration may not be easy, may be painful and even bring us to our knees. But there is no other journey quite so exquisite as the journey home while we still walk the earth.
A few poems for you.
See through the eyes of love Again and again Until all notion Of subject and object Dissolve into eternity. -------------------------------- The ecstatic eternal divine blessing Pours in through us, as us We are the miracle of creation A moment in time And then life With its heavy karma And ancestral burden Crashes into us And our innocence and divine origin Is hijacked by amnesia... Friend, grace is the remembering. ------------------------------ When the world speaks its superficiality Poetry must speak truth and depth of love When the world says, ‘But it has no practical use,’ Poetry says, ‘It’s not the practical that keeps us alive It’s beauty and truth And the search for soul's meaning That keeps us alive.’ ------------------------------ Be the emptiness Others can fall into. ----------------------------- The heart opens All of existence pours in We become a conduit For the divine The defended self Dies into this And begins to serve it We are no longer The person we imagined we were We have become An emissary of love. ------------------------------- No one can give you your sacred authority Yet everyone can seemingly Steal it from you Incarnated here as a divine being Your innate inner authority Is compromised and hijacked But never ultimately lost No one but you can reclaim it And reclaim it you must. ------------------------------ We are lent to this world by God It is a temporary stay And we may be called back At any time Remember that When you make great plans. ------------------------------- After the lightning of illumination Comes the rain of our humanity This is how embodiment is. ------------------------------ Give your attention To the soul’s beauty To the love that longs to shine Give allegiance only To that inner spark That carries the light Into the darkness Be done with fear That’s not what We came here for. ------------------------------ Each day as you awaken And mind starts its commentary Remember your eternal essence As the silence from which all phenomena arise Return again and again to this presence Even as you become distracted By mind’s endless dialogue. ------------------------------- We are in the deepest darkness Hold to the light and remain in presence. -------------------------------
