DEVOTED TO LOVE

I seem to become more devoted to this pathless path of love each day. The world and its mesmerizing ways of high drama only serve to deepen me into a place I cannot quite describe. I see the drama, I feel the drama, the world pours into me and I am not untouched by it all, and yet there is a profound witnessing as the walls of the castle collapse and the collective unravels (to these eyes).

As I have matured over the years I really have come to know that love, the deepest love, the unconditional kind of love that emanates from the wise ones and yet is freely available to all of us, is the only thing that really matters. And that is my devotion, again and again.

Allow yourself
To feel so deeply
The world pours in
And is resurrected 
Into love.

The true nature of love cannot be cultivated
It can only be revealed
For it is the very heart of us
The core, the essence,
But we have completely
Overlooked our essence
In favor of our appearance.

We are not small and insignificant by nature
We learn to be that way

We are magnificent and vast
Here by the authority of the divine
Invited to take our place in the human dance

Everything else is a false construct 
And must be cast off as an old unneeded coat
Be true now.

Be a homeopathic remedy
A drop of goodness
In a toxic field
You will need resilience
And dedication
But more than that
You must walk the path
Of ongoing purification.

Yesterday my heart broken open
Today I am praying it happens again
This opening into love’s deepest acceptance
Is all that really matters

Fall in love with openness 
It is the start of a divine dance
That will carry you home.

In a moment all this can be taken from us
The divine knows this truth
And offers us depth, beauty and grace
As the pay off for such fragility.

Karma comes to an end 
In the clear light of presence
But the coiled up spring
Of past unconsciousness
Must still unravel.

Leave the world
But don’t abandon it

You can transcend the illusion
But love it anyway

All things are God.

Your darkness serves you
And enlightens you
When it is embraced

But it tyrannizes 
And haunts you
When it is denied.

There is a tipping point
In all transformation
A bifurcation point
Where the old
Dies into and becomes the new

That new manifestation
Looks nothing like the old
But has remnants and memories of it

Individually and collectively
We are absolutely
At that point
Stay present.
