DARK NIGHT OF THE COLLECTIVE SOUL

In my heart somewhere
I despair for the current trajectory
Humanity is taking

We are on the edge of an abyss
Staring into the darkness
Traps have been laid
And we have stepped into them

And yet, such is the delusional nature of mind
And such is the ability of the magician
To cast his spell upon the unconscious and naive,
That the majority of folks cannot see the trick
They cannot see the picture being painted
With them in it, devoid of freedom to choose

We walk blindly to our fate
We have been shown this lesson before
Yet we have learned nothing
And now we play with the same fire

We are at the end of the line
The train stops here
We must disembark
Alone and separate
And wait, and meet the darkness together,

For the next wave of humanity
If there is to be one
Must be a collective wave
Radical separatism has brought us here
And here we must leave it

We either move forward together
With love in our hearts
Or we will not move forward at all

We are on the edge of the abyss
Staring into the darkness
Make no mistake my dear friend
This is an unprecedented time.
