To what is true
To what is true in you

Come back to your deepest
And stay there
While you take some rest

Don’t fly away into imagination
Whether it is good or bad
Don’t lose yourself, again,
In the stories you tell
Or the stories you hear
Don’t clutch and grab
At things you think 
Will give you security
Or reject and resist
Things you think are wrong
Or make you scared

Come back, come back
To what is true
To this soft open moment
Right here
Inside your very breath
Come back to the place
Of no story
No narrative
No self
Just this openness 

Let it be your sanctuary 
Your temple or church
Your place of rejuvenation

Before you fly away again
Into mind’s incessant waves

Of course, you can also decide
Never to fly away again
And that may be your greatest longing.
