AS IT IS
I have discovered the secret of inner peace And I hold it dear to my heart When things become turbulent inside or outside When fear bangs loudly on my door When the world seems to be falling apart Or I just don’t know what to do I return to the simplicity Of allowing things to be just as they are And accepting them that way No ifs and no buts, no argument No resignation and no negativity No avoidance or denial But no coldness or turning away Just this allowing experiment Allowing it all to be just as it is And when it works It is as though a door opens To majesty itself All resistance falls away And for a time there is just A kind of this-ness An exquisite beauty of grace As existence flows its eternal river.
