If we were able, just for a day To weep as a collective For the whole world To stop its incessant charge Into the future And just pause And fall into a great silence And from that silence Allow the tears of the past And the sorrow of the present For the great family we are To be together in its heartbreak What a day that would be There would not have been a day like that one In the history of our suffering It almost breaks open the heart Just thinking about it Here, as I write these words Ah! I can dream of such a healing experience Such a cleansing moment But until that happens We must all do this alone Knowing someone else, somewhere, May be doing the same thing.

Beautiful resonant words Kavi. Lovely to see your poetry. And thank you and Amoda for the very helpful meeting on Saturday. Love, Philippa
